Overall water hevels were high during the week. There was a spate of 2.5 meters recorded on the Aasleagh GaUge on the 23rd. Water levels were 1.9 meters on the 25th. With suitable water conditions the run of Spring salmon continued into the river.

Saturday 28th was a super day for Seamus Nee, Athlone on the river. Water levels were recorded at 1.4meters with the river running clear - Seamus fishing with single barbless hooks caught and released 2 fish estimated at 10lbs and 15lbs taken in the Willow Pool on Beat 6 on a Cascade size 6. He also hooked and lost another fish in the Colonel’s Pool and another in the Sea Pool.

Another angler hooked and lost a fish in the Garden Pool. There is plenty of availability during the coming weeks on the fishery.
