Mr. C Whitton, UK fishing the Erriff for the first time took 2 fish best 6.25lbs from Glenanane Stones and the Sally Pool Beat 7 on a Stoat’s Tail and Cascade.

Overall there is a vast improvement in the number of Salmon and Sea Trout entering the river. Sea liced springers up to 12lbs in addition to good quality grilse are still passing through the fish counter above Aasleagh Falls. Sea trout are not being caught in numbers on the river, which would suggest that many ran straight up to Tawnyard lough which would be well worth fishing.
